Derrick Gray (born December 24, 1993) better known by his stage name Derrick Milano is an African American rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who rose to prominence after the release of his CASANOVA mixtape in 2013. On August 3, 2016,  he released his debut mixtape "A1". Influenced by a diverse range of musical traditions, Milano has collaborated with a number of artists from the Southern hip hop scene, including Rich The Kid, Kirko Bangz, and August Alsina.

Growing up Derrick Milano lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began taking music seriously by joining the "Academy Singers" in the sixth grade. Milano was selected to the All-State choir five years in a row and placed second in the state of Pennsylvania as a tenor. Milano obtained his associate degree from Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. He released his debut mixtape, Casanova, in 2013 while attending the University of Central Florida. Derrick and his management had a disagreement which halted him from releasing music for 2 years. This dispute prohibited him from recording in a professional studio so he began recording in a home studio. His viral record "Cellular" was created during one of the home sessions.
