About

Trap Dancehall artiste, Hink45, was born Omar Teape in May Pen, Clarendon. He attended the Charlie Smith High School, Jamaica College, University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica, and Wingate University in North Carolina. His stage name Hink is a result of his image and past football career, with his jersey number always being #45. No other musician is in his family but his mother has always been supportive of his music
The first recording from Hink45 was “Neva Lef It”, a production by his late brother at Burban Records. Over the years, Hink45 has worked with producers such as Frassout Records, Main Focus Records, Lead Out Production, Parrowdon Music, G-Slixx, Deadline Records, Swardon Records, Lenky, and TBG, as well as artists like Shane-O, Shemdred, TennPoint, Frassout Records and Main Focus.
Currently, Hink45 is working on his EP, 45 to Duss. The title explains the transition from his football career to his music career now. It’s 6 tracks. Hink45 is also working on a single called “Cry”, produced by Frassout Records to be released on the same day, which is actually the leading single from the EP. A collaboration with TennPoint called “Murder Game”, on the Lead Out Production label, is expected to be released sometime in March.
The feedback on his music is great thus far. Tracks like “Choppa Walk” has already amassed a whopping 2.2 million views on YouTube, with other releases streaming well. As a result, the name and brand are now heard more often.
