Sonovic Music

Born Jamar Roberts in Kingston, Jamaica, music was always a part of Sonovic’s life. Growing up in Downtown Kingston and Seaview Gardens, he connected with people over the years who would help him to develop his own sound, and grow into becoming a Producer. Thanks to a friend named Ricardo, he learned the basics of the popular FL Studio (formerly known as Fruity Loops) digital audio software, and soon after found his footing. Not staying boxed into one genre and sound, he lets his mood dictate where he should go when it comes to being creative. With over 60 productions to date, numerous Billboard chart placements, and a growing list of clientele, Sonovic has become one of the go-to Producers in recent years. Through his Sonovic Music label, he found success again with Dexta Daps on his “Vent” project and the single “No Underwear”, assisted in the rise of Jahvillani, Chronic Law, and Squash through the singles “Clarks Pon Foot”, “Can’t Stay Suh”, and “Trending” respectively, and has been developing a new sound called, “Binghi Trap” which can be found on T’Jean’s “Unblemished Lamb” project, and on the Reggae compilation titled, “Divine Majesty”. With an emphasis on being original no matter what, Sonovic continues to touch lives, and connect people with the music that he loves to create.
