Born in Kingston Jamaica as Dominic McDonald, Troublemekka grew up with an undeniable love for Reggae and Dancehall collecting CDs and vinyl. After losing interest in the traditional college curriculum Troublemekka set his sights on going to school for music. He attended the full sail university in Orlando, Fl, and graduated with a bachelor's in The Recording arts in 2013. Troublemekka came back to Jamaica and things immediately began to take off crafting hits for artists such as Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, Konshens, and Latin Pop star Farruko to name a few.
In 2017 Troublemekka decided it was time for him to open his own recording studio called the Double Trouble Music Studios in Kingston, Jamaica. He continued putting out successful reggae singles but as of late has set his sights on making his impact on dancehall. His Latest album the “Double Trouble Riddim” instantly had an impact with heavy-hitting drums shaking every dancehall speaker while featuring artists such as Chronic Law, Rygin King, Chi Ching Ching, and Jahvillani.
